Wooden Storage Boxes
Royal Hives manufactures a range of wooden storage boxes in our Sofia workshop — from compact boxes for jewellery and herbs to large boxes for tools and industrial packaging. Each box is built from carefully selected, dried wood and can be ordered in a standard or custom size.
Models and sizes
Our range includes more than 20 wooden storage box models — from small square boxes around 15 × 9 × 6 cm, suitable for jewellery and small keepsakes, to large boxes up to 41 × 28 × 11 cm for bulk storage or industrial packaging. We offer versions with sliding lids, hinged lids, or decorative finger-jointed sides.
Exact dimensions for each model are listed in our catalogue, but if you need a size outside our standard range, we manufacture boxes to individual specification.
Wood and moisture content
Storage boxes are made from dried coniferous wood (pine/spruce) with an equilibrium moisture content of 10–12%, which limits cracking and warping during storage in varying climatic conditions.
Finishes
The standard finish is natural wood, with waterproof UV colourless varnish available on request. If you prefer a coloured presentation, coloured waterproof paint can also be ordered.

Manufacturing and who it suits
The boxes are manufactured in our Sofia workshop from selected wood. They suit household use, document and tool storage, as well as retailers looking for bulk packaging.
