Nucleus Hives & Mating Hives
We manufacture nucleus hives for small or new colonies. The nucleus hives hold 5 or 6 brood frames and consist of a brood chamber, flat bottom board, crown board and a roof. Some beekeepers use also a feeder and a more complicated bottom board. Thickness of the wood material is the same as for the standard hives or thinner. The brood chamber could be made to hold whatever frame size is wanted — British Standard, Commercial, Dadant or Langstroth. Delivered either disassembled or assembled. We also produce mating hives with 2 or 3 frames in Dadant, Langstroth, and super sizes.

Materials & Durability
All our beehive woodenware is made from seasoned coniferous wood or limetree, dried to 10–12% equilibrium humidity. Finishes include precoat with waterproof UV colourless varnish or coloured waterproof paint upon client request.
